This is the second Effective Altruism (EA) Summit organized for individuals across Vietnam who are seriously thinking about how they can make the world a better place, coming from diverse fields to explore how evidence, reason, and compassion can guide our efforts to do the most good.
What to expect at EA Summit Vietnam 2026:
- Introductory sessions and discussions on key concepts in effective altruism and high-impact areas, including (but not limited to) global health and development, animal welfare, and AI safety.
- Skill-building workshops from experts in relevant fields.
- Meetups and discussions to connect with experts and other attendees.
Who should apply?
This event is right for you if:
- You are new to effective altruism and interested in exploring how EA principles can help you make more thoughtful and impactful decisions in your career or personal projects, and you are currently living in Vietnam.
For 2026, the event will feature special content aimed at:
- Individuals interested in working in or founding organizations in priority cause areas within Vietnam.
- University students who want to build effective altruism university groups at their universities.
Experienced EA community members are also welcomed if you're interested in mentoring high-potential individuals in Vietnam, and building stronger connections within Vietnam.
Application process
The application deadline is end of day June 30, 2026 — don't miss your chance to participate! Here is the application process:
- Complete the short application form above (~5–15 minutes). We will ask you to provide information about your interests and motivation for attending.
- Our team will review your application. We will try to respond within 10 business days, regardless of the outcome.
- Confirm your attendance (~10 minutes). If you meet the participation criteria, you will receive a confirmation email and an official ticket. You can also sign up to volunteer at the event.
