## Who is the event for?

EAGxNordics 2026 welcomes attendees who are familiar with core ideas of effective altruism. We’re also excited to see applications from professionals working in impactful fields who may be newer to EA and curious about how these ideas could support their work.

We believe that the conference will be especially beneficial for people who are interested in taking impactful action in their career and life, in strengthening their connections within the community and in sharing their expertise. 

EAGxNordics 2026 focuses on the Nordic and Baltic regions and welcomes the broader European community, but we are committed to building a diverse environment and encourage attendees from around the world to apply. 

## Application process

The application process consists of three stages:

__- You complete the application form.__ You will be prompted to log into your effectivealtruism.org account; if you don't have an existing account, you can easily create one. We will ask you questions about your interests and your engagement with effective altruism. We invite you to be as specific and detailed as possible in your answers, favouring content over form. 

__- Our team reviews your application.__ While it might take longer in busy periods, we aim to be in touch about your application within 2 weeks, regardless of the outcome.
You register for the conference. If you’ve been accepted, you will receive an email with a link to register. This step is essential to secure your place at the conference. At this stage, you will be asked about dietary requirements and additional logistical details. Also, you will have the option of donating to offset event costs.

### ¿Quién debería asistir?

EAGxCDMX es tanto para personas que quieren aprender más sobre EA, como para quienes ya usan sus principios en su carrera profesional. 
Todos los asistentes deben haber consultado al menos 10 horas de contenido de EA, y el evento es ideal para:

### Application Process

### Who should attend

EAGxCDMX is intended for individuals new to the EA movement as well as those who already use EA principles in their work and career. All attendees should have engaged with EA content for at least 10 hours, and the event is particularly well-suited for:

- Students based in Mexico who want to learn more about EA and related career paths
- Local residents looking to engage further with the community
- Experienced EAs from anywhere in the world, interested in expanding their network and understanding of the LATAM community

This event is mainly intended to strengthen the Spanish-speaking EA community, so we are aiming for 50 to 65% of the content to be in Spanish, with the remainder in English. We expect many attendees to only speak Spanish, and some international attendees who don’t speak Spanish at all, and believe the conference will provide valuable connections and talks for both groups (and everyone in between).

__Effective Altruism Summit: Brussels__ is a one-day conference taking place on __Saturday, 7 February 2026 at Flagey__ bringing together experienced professionals to explore effective altruism and how its ideas can shape their career choices and professional impact.

### About the Summit

We are living through a pivotal moment in history: Technologies like AI and biotechnology are advancing rapidly, while decisions made in Brussels on global health, pandemic preparedness, and animal welfare ripple far beyond Europe’s borders. But how do we decide which problems deserve our attention when resources are limited and stakes are high?

EA Summit: Brussels offers a space for experienced professionals to think more deliberately about these questions. Over a full day of talks and interactive discussions, you’ll engage with effective altruism—a global community and way of thinking focused on achieving the greatest positive impact and bringing more clarity and structure to difficult choices between competing priorities.

The summit connects people who care about getting these choices right. You’ll hear from practitioners who’ve applied this thinking in their own work, explore how it might apply to yours, and meet others wrestling with similar questions. The day is built around conversation and reflection as much as talks and workshops, with the aim of helping you think more clearly about where your skills can make the greatest difference, and providing evergreen resources to support that goal.


### Who is the event for?

The summit is designed for mid-career to senior professionals who are new to effective altruism and want to think more clearly about how they can contribute to solving important global problems. We’re particularly interested in people with several years of experience, established skills, or roles where they help shape decisions or drive initiatives.

To best support this newer audience, we also welcome professionals with extensive knowledge of effective altruism or experience working in established EA organisations or causes. ### About the Summit

The EA Summit: Philippines 2026 will take place on __31 January 2026__ from 9AM to 6:30PM in Makati City, Philippines at AIM Conference Center.

EA Summit: Philippines is a one day [effective altruism (EA)](https://www.effectivealtruism.org/) event for individuals across the Philippines who are thinking seriously about how they can make the world a better place. It brings together people from a wide range of fields to explore how evidence, reason, and compassion can guide our efforts toward doing the most good.

Attendees may be new to effective altruism or are already working on complex challenges, such as (but not limited to) global health and development, animal welfare, and AI safety/governance. The summit is designed to foster meaningful conversations, introduce promising ideas, and support thoughtful action at both local and global levels. 


### Who is the event for?

EA Summit Philippines prioritizes attendees based in the Philippines, with the aim of strengthening local networks and supporting community-building efforts across the country.

The summit also welcomes experienced EAs from around the world who can offer valuable perspectives and mentorship to the event.

This event may be a good fit if you are:

- __New to effective altruism__, and interested in exploring how its principles can help you make more thoughtful, impactful decisions in your career or personal projects
- __Part of the existing EA community in the Philippines__, and looking to build deeper connections, collaborate with others, or share what you’ve learned
- __An experienced EA__, particularly if you’re interested in supporting national or regional efforts, mentoring promising individuals, and building stronger ties across the global EA network


### Program Highlights

The agenda for Summit events typically includes:

- Introductory talks on EA concepts and key cause areas
- Intermediate talks and discussions on pressing global challenges and potential solutions
- Skill-building workshops focused on decision-making, career strategy, and project development
- Meetups and (informal) socials to connect with peers, mentors, and collaborators.

Full event details will be available in the Swapcard app closer to the conference. Swapcard also makes it easy to connect with other attendees, and many find these connections to be one of the most rewarding outcomes of the conference. We recommend using Swapcard to message others and arrange 1-on-1 meetings a week or two before the event begins!


### How do I attend? - Applications have closed.

1. Accepted applicants __must register__ in order to confirm their attendance. 
2. If you can no longer attend after registering, please let us know to cancel your registration so we can offer your slot to another person. If you made a ticket donation to our team, we are happy to return the amount to you if you cancel your registration
