### Program Overview

The conference programme will run from approximately 5 pm - 9 pm on Friday evening and 9 am - 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be opportunities to connect with other attendees in the evenings.

__For those interested in volunteering we recommend aiming to arrive in Melbourne on Friday morning for training and setup from midday Friday.__

The agenda for EAGx events typically include:

- Skill-building workshops
- Meetups and social activities

### Cost

Attendance at the conference is by donation, with a suggested donation of £100 (~$200AUD) for most attendees.

If you are a student or facing financial hardship, we suggest a donation of £30 (~$60AUD) though we encourage you not to donate if you don’t feel able.

Conference attendance includes lunch & morning/afternoon tea on Saturday & Sunday, and light refreshments on Friday night. All other food over the weekend will be attendees' responsibility and cost.

### Travel assistance

Funding will be available to support travel to the conference for those that would not be able to attend otherwise. The maximum support available will depend on your location, with more available for greater distances within Australia and New Zealand.  In some cases, we might not be able to pay for all of your travel expenses. If you do not end up receiving travel support, this is likely the result of limited funds rather than an evaluation of your potential for impact.

We are not currently imposing any COVID restrictions, though we recommend attendees to be up to date with WHO-approved vaccines.

We are prepared to reimburse travel expenses for some attendees. You may apply for travel support if the cost of attending is too high for your budget. EAGxSingapore brings together 250 attendees from across Southeast and East Asia for a transformative two-day conference in the heart of Singapore.

EAGxDC 2026

EAGxNordics 2026 will be held on __24-26 April 2026__ in Stockholm, Sweden, at House of People (Barnhusgatan 12-14, 111 23 Stockholm).

At EAGxNordics 2026, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful connections within the EA community and explore actionable ways to make a greater impact. We are excited to bring together people from the Nordics, the Baltics, and beyond. 



## Who is the event for?

EAGxNordics 2026 is for people who want to turn good intentions into practical outcomes. This can take many different forms: below are a few examples of people we are excited to welcome at the event.

- People who are familiar with or taking meaningful steps to explore the core ideas of effective altruism
- Practitioners, researchers, operators, founders, and students keen to engage in impactful projects
- Domain specialists with strong expertise in relevant topics who want to make a constructive contribution

EAGxNordics 2026 focuses on the Nordic and Baltic regions and welcomes the broader European community, but we are committed to building a diverse environment and encourage attendees from around the world to apply. 

## Application process

The application process consists of three stages:

__- You complete the application form.__ You will be prompted to log into your effectivealtruism.org account; if you don't have an existing account, you can easily create one. We will ask you questions about your interests and your engagement with effective altruism. We invite you to be as specific and detailed as possible in your answers, favouring content over form. 

__- Our team reviews your application.__ While it might take longer in busy periods, we aim to be in touch about your application within 2 weeks, regardless of the outcome.

__You register for the conference__. If you’ve been accepted, you will receive an email with a link to register. This step is essential to secure your place at the conference. At this stage, you will be asked about dietary requirements and additional logistical details. Also, you will have the option of donating to offset event costs.

__Application deadline: 12 April 2026.__ Unsure if you should apply? We always recommend that you err on the side of applying. Specific context in your application about how you hope to add value is enough.

The event is free to attend. That said, we invite participants to consider making a donation to help cover the conference costs. As a rough guideline, many attendees choose to contribute around £80, though the amount entirely depends on your ability to give.

We know that many participants are going to be travelling to Stockholm and will be looking for accommodation. For this reason, we have prepared [an accommodation guide](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O6qBB-V5_T5w6j2ZuqcazfHBswXD1O0nfdeRgz12y48/edit?usp=sharing) that you can use to look for cost-effective and comfortable hotels and hostels that are easily accessible from the venue.

Before and after the conference a number of satellite events take place, including an unofficial afterparty on Sunday evening. If possible, we encourage you to come to Stockholm before the conference begins and to stay in town until Monday. Volunteers should expect to arrive at the venue around 12:00 on Friday April 24 for training. More detailed information will be sent to them by the Volunteer Lead.

EA Summit: Jakarta akan diselenggarakan pada hari __Minggu, 19 April 2026 di Gedung Yustinus, Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya, Jakarta__.

EA Summit Jakarta adalah konferensi *effective altruism* (EA) pertama di Indonesia yang mempertemukan profesional muda, peneliti, mahasiswa, dan praktisi dari berbagai sektor berdampak tinggi untuk bersama-sama mengeksplorasi bagaimana kita bisa memberikan manfaat sebesar-besarnya melalui karier dan sumber daya yang kita miliki. Baik Anda baru mengenal EA maupun sudah lama mengikuti perkembangannya, summit satu hari ini menawarkan kesempatan unik untuk terhubung dengan komunitas individu yang peduli pada dampak nyata di negara terbesar di Asia Tenggara.

### Proses Pendaftaran

EA Summit Jakarta welcomes participants from across Indonesia. The summit is ideal for:

- __Young professionals and practitioners in high-impact sectors__, including public policy, global health, development, climate, technology, and philanthropy who want to think more rigorously about maximizing their impact.

- __Students and emerging researchers__ (undergraduate through doctoral level) who are curious about how EA principles can shape their academic and career trajectories.

- __EA community members__ looking to strengthen the Indonesian and Southeast Asian EA network, share expertise, and connect with newcomers.

- __Anyone with intellectual curiosity__ about using evidence and careful reasoning to figure out how to do the most good. regardless of prior familiarity with EA.

### Program

The agenda for EA Summit Jakarta will include:

- __Introductory talks__: an accessible overview of EA concepts, key cause areas, and how they apply in the Indonesian context
- __Talks and discussions__ on pressing global and local challenges.
- __Skill-building workshops__ focused on career strategy critical thinking for impact through building charity organizations.
- __Networking, meetups, and social activities__ as informal opportunities to connect with peers, mentors, and potential collaborators

Our speakers will include both Indonesian practitioners and international experts working in philanthropy, development, and the effective altruism community. We are curating a diverse lineup across backgrounds, cause areas, and types of work to keep the summit grounded in the local context while connecting attendees to the broader global EA movement.
