El evento se realizará el 22 de agosto de 2026, de 9:00 a 20:00 horas, en el Centro de Extensión del Campus Oriente de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, en Santiago.
EA Summit: Santiago 2026 es una conferencia de un día sobre altruismo eficaz (effective altruism), organizada principalmente para reunir a profesionales de cualquier disciplina que quieran utilizar sus habilidades, experiencia y recursos para generar un mayor impacto positivo. Tanto si recién estás conociendo el altruismo eficaz como si ya trabajas en desafíos de impacto social, el evento es una oportunidad para aprender, conectar con otras personas y descubrir oportunidades concretas para seguir involucrándote.
Proceso de postulación
Las postulaciones ya están abiertas.
Así funciona el proceso:
- Completa una breve postulación (5–10 minutos). Te pediremos algunos datos sobre ti, tus intereses y tu motivación para asistir al evento.
- Revisaremos tu postulación. Nuestro equipo revisa todas las postulaciones para ayudar a construir una buena experiencia para las personas asistentes. Si necesitáramos hacer algún seguimiento respecto a tu postulación, nos pondremos en contacto contigo.
- Confirma tu asistencia. Una vez revisada tu postulación, recibirás un correo con un enlace para confirmar tu asistencia y reservar tu cupo en el evento.

¿A quién está dirigido?
EA Summit: Santiago está diseñado principalmente para profesionales que quieran aumentar el impacto positivo de su carrera, habilidades o recursos.
El evento puede ser especialmente valioso para:
- Profesionales del sector público, privado o académico interesados en utilizar evidencia y análisis riguroso para abordar algunos de los desafíos más importantes del mundo.
- Emprendedores, líderes de organizaciones sin fines de lucro, filántropos y personas que lideran proyectos, que quieran aumentar el impacto de sus organizaciones, iniciativas o recursos.
- Investigadores, académicos y estudiantes universitarios avanzados interesados en carreras de alto impacto o en aplicar el pensamiento crítico a problemas sociales complejos.
- Miembros experimentados de la comunidad de altruismo eficaz, que quieran compartir experiencia, ofrecer mentoría y fortalecer la comunidad local.
- Personas con curiosidad intelectual sobre cómo utilizar mejor su carrera, tiempo o recursos para hacer el mayor bien posible, independientemente de su familiaridad previa con el altruismo eficaz.
No es necesario tener conocimientos previos sobre altruismo eficaz para participar. Si tienes dudas sobre si este evento es para ti, te animamos a postular de todas formas.
Asistencia para viajes
Lamentablemente, no contamos con fondos para apoyar gastos de viaje. Sin embargo, si tienes preguntas sobre la asistencia al evento o tu situación particular, no dudes en escribirnos a [email protected].
Programa
El programa combinará contenido introductorio, oportunidades para establecer conexiones significativas y espacios para explorar posibles próximos pasos dentro del altruismo eficaz.
Puedes esperar:
- Charlas y paneles sobre altruismo eficaz, sus principales ideas y algunas de las áreas de impacto más relevantes, como seguridad en inteligencia artificial, salud y desarrollo global, bienestar animal, riesgos catastróficos globales y más.
- Conversaciones uno a uno, espacios para interactuar con ponentes y mentorías con profesionales y miembros de la comunidad.
- Sesiones sobre carreras, organizaciones y oportunidades para quienes quieran seguir explorando formas de generar un mayor impacto.
- Espacios informales para conversar y conocer a otros asistentes, incluyendo coffee breaks, almuerzo y actividades sociales durante la jornada.
Antes del evento los asistentes tendrán acceso a Swapcard, la plataforma oficial del Summit. Allí podrás consultar la agenda, conocer a otros asistentes, coordinar reuniones uno a uno y acceder a toda la información relevante del evento.

The event will take place on 22 August 2026, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, at Centro de Extensión, Campus Oriente, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, in Santiago.
EA Summit: Santiago 2026 is a one-day conference on effective altruism, organised primarily for professionals from all disciplines who want to use their skills, experience and resources to have greater positive impact. Whether you are just discovering effective altruism or already working on high-impact social challenges, the Summit is an opportunity to learn, connect with others, and discover concrete opportunities to stay involved.
Application Process
Applications are now open.
Here's how the process works:
- Complete a short application (5–10 minutes). We'll ask a few questions about you, your interests, and your motivation for attending.
- We'll review your application. Our team reviews all applications to help create a great experience for everyone attending. If we need to follow up regarding your application, we'll get in touch.
- Confirm your attendance. Once your application has been reviewed, you'll receive an email with a link to complete your registration and confirm your place at the Summit.

- Experienced members of the effective altruism community who want to share their experience, offer mentorship, and strengthen the local community.
- Anyone with intellectual curiosity about how to make the greatest positive impact with their career, time, or resources, regardless of their previous familiarity with effective altruism.
No prior knowledge of effective altruism is required to attend. If you're unsure whether this event is right for you, we encourage you to apply anyway.

Programme
The programme will combine introductory content, opportunities to build meaningful connections, and sessions designed to help attendees explore possible next steps within effective altruism.
You can expect:
- Talks and panel discussions on effective altruism, its core ideas, and some of its most important cause areas, including AI safety, global health and development, animal welfare, global catastrophic risks, and more.
- One-on-one conversations, opportunities to interact with speakers, and mentoring with professionals and members of the community.
- Sessions on careers, organisations, and opportunities for those interested in exploring ways to increase their impact.
- Informal opportunities to meet and connect with other attendees, including coffee breaks, lunch, and social activities throughout the day.
Before the event, attendees will receive access to Swapcard, the Summit's official event platform. There you'll be able to browse the programme, connect with other attendees, arrange one-on-one meetings, and access all relevant event information.
