EAG Summit: Helsinki will take place on 28 February 2026 in Helsinki, Finland, at Arcada University of Applied Sciences (Jan-Magnus Janssonin aukio 1, 00560 Helsinki).
The summit is an opportunity for people interested in doing good effectively to connect with like-minded individuals and organisations, as well as explore a range of cause areas and the work being done in them.
Application Process
Applications are open at https://www.altruismi.fi/en/summit. Here’s what you can expect:
Complete a short application (~5-15 minutes). We collect basic details about your interests and engagement with effective altruism.
Our team will review your application. You will then receive an email regardless of whether you are accepted or not.
Pay for your ticket (~5 minutes). If you’ve been accepted, you’ll receive an email with a link to pay for your ticket and confirm your place at the conference.

Who is the event for
We welcome people from all backgrounds who are interested in effective altruism. You belong here if you are curious to learn more about how to have more impact, how to do good better, and how reason and evidence can help us improve the world. The event offers knowledge, tools, and practical guidance for anyone interested in increasing their positive impact.
Program
The Summit agenda will include:
- Talks and discussions on pressing global challenges and solutions
- Skill-building workshops
- Opportunities for one-to-one meetings

- Effective giving – where does your donation do the most good?
- How to build an impactful career
- Impactful interventions in global health and development
- Working effectively on animal welfare
- Addressing risks from advanced AI
