### Program Overview

The conference programme will run from approximately 5 pm - 9 pm on Friday evening and 9 am - 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be opportunities to connect with other attendees in the evenings.

__For those interested in volunteering we recommend aiming to arrive in Melbourne on Friday morning for training and setup from midday Friday.__

The agenda for EAGx events typically include:

- Talks and discussions on pressing global challenges and solutions
- Skill-building workshops
- Meetups and social activities

### Cost

Attendance at the conference is by donation, with a suggested donation of £100 (~$200AUD) for most attendees.

If you are a student or facing financial hardship, we suggest a donation of £30 (~$60AUD) though we encourage you not to donate if you don’t feel able.

Conference attendance includes lunch & morning/afternoon tea on Saturday & Sunday, and light refreshments on Friday night. All other food over the weekend will be attendees' responsibility and cost.

### Travel assistance

Funding will be available to support travel to the conference for those that would not be able to attend otherwise. The maximum support available will depend on your location, with more available for greater distances within Australia and New Zealand.  In some cases, we might not be able to pay for all of your travel expenses. If you do not end up receiving travel support, this is likely the result of limited funds rather than an evaluation of your potential for impact.

__Our team will review your application__. We aim to be in touch about your application, regardless of outcome, within 10 business days.

__Register for the conference (~5 minutes)__. If you’ve been accepted, you’ll receive an email with a link to register and confirm your place at the conference. At this stage, you’ll be asked to provide dietary requirements and additional logistical details, indicate whether you’ll be available to volunteer, and have the option of donating to offset event costs.

EA Global brings together a wide network of people who have made helping others a core part of their lives. Speakers and attendees share new thinking and research in the field of effective altruism and coordinate on global projects.

## Application details

Application deadline: 4th Oct 2026 (11:59pm ET). All applications for this event will receive a response by 7th October 2026 at the latest. Most applications receive a response within two weeks.

## Approximate schedule

The event will begin with an opening reception on Friday (but you can arrive at any time during the weekend). Saturday and Sunday will have full-day schedules with content finishing at around 6pm on Sunday evening.

## Our COVID policy

We are not currently imposing any COVID restrictions, though we recommend attendees to be up to date with WHO-approved vaccines.

## Travel expenses

We are prepared to reimburse travel expenses for some attendees. You may apply for travel support if the cost of attending is too high for your budget. EA Global: New York City 2026

EAGx India (an [effective altruism (EA)](https://www.effectivealtruism.org/) conference) is back for its fourth consecutive year this September. Join us in Delhi for a weekend of thought-provoking ideas and conversations sparking collaborations, career pivots and life-long friendships. 

We're looking forward to hosting 250 attendees from India and surrounding EA communities. Speakers include experts from the international EA community who work on important causes ranging from public health and animal welfare to safeguarding civilisation from emerging global catastrophic risks. Whether you're new to EA and its philosophy or already shaping work in key cause areas, this conference is your opportunity to deepen your knowledge, expand your network, and discover actionable ways to make an impact. The event offers ample opportunities for learning through talks, workshops, panel discussions and deepening connections through 1:1 meetings with potential collaborators, funders, recruiters, advisers, hires, and friends!

At this year's conference, we aim to bring focus to:

1. ⁠Promising high-impact initiatives seeking entrepreneurial leaders,

EAGxSingapore brings together 250 attendees from across Southeast and East Asia for a transformative two-day conference in the heart of Singapore.

EA Summit: Nigeria 2026

This is the second Effective Altruism (EA) Summit organized for individuals across Vietnam who are seriously thinking about how they can make the world a better place, coming from diverse fields to explore how evidence, reason, and compassion can guide our efforts to do the most good.

What to expect at EA Summit Vietnam 2026:

- Introductory sessions and discussions on key concepts in effective altruism and high-impact areas, including (but not limited to) global health and development, animal welfare, and AI safety.
- Skill-building workshops from experts in relevant fields.
- Meetups and discussions to connect with experts and other attendees.


### Who should apply?

This event is right for you if:

- __You are new to effective altruism__ and interested in exploring how EA principles can help you make more thoughtful and impactful decisions in your career or personal projects, __and you are currently living in Vietnam__.

__For 2026, the event will feature special content aimed at:__

- Individuals interested in working in or founding organizations in priority cause areas within Vietnam.
- University students who want to build effective altruism university groups at their universities.

__Experienced EA community members__ are also welcomed if you're interested in mentoring high-potential individuals in Vietnam, and building stronger connections within Vietnam.
