Description
IPA Uganda is hiring a Finance Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations within its Finance Department, reporting to the Associate Finance Manager.
- Process & record transactions — Handle mobile money payments, vendor payments, VAT/withholding tax schedules, and statutory filings using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Compliance & accounts payable — Conduct preliminary invoice checks, support compliance reviews, and maintain structured procurement and payment documentation
- Reporting & reconciliation — Assist with monthly close documentation, balance sheet schedules, and ERP data extracts
- Qualifications — University degree in Finance/Accounting; ACCA or CPA certification is a strong advantage; 3 years of financial accounting experience with at least 1 year in the NGO sector required
Salary: UGX 1,414,650 – 2,563,937 | Contract: 1 year (with possible extension) | Start date: June 1, 2026 (or earlier) | Deadline: May 4, 2026
