A P4-level opportunity with WHO's Africa Regional Office to lead coordination of Pandemic Fund projects strengthening pandemic preparedness and response across the continent, based in Nairobi, Kenya.
  • Project Coordination & Implementation: Oversee planning, execution, and monitoring of multi-country and regional Pandemic Fund projects, managing a team of Project Management Officers and ensuring alignment with WHO guidelines and national health priorities
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Establish and maintain a Monitoring, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system; track KPIs and contribute to progress reports and impact assessments for WHO leadership and stakeholders
  • Proposal Development: Lead end-to-end development of multi-country and regional proposals for the 3rd call of the Pandemic Fund, ensuring technical rigor and donor compliance
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent WHO in technical meetings and high-level discussions; foster partnerships with governments, multilateral organizations, and NGOs to maximize impact of regional initiatives
Requirements: Master's degree in public health or related field; at least 7 years of experience in public health program management; fluency in English (French is an asset). Starting base salary: USD 84,672/year + post adjustment (~USD 2,851/month) + benefits including 30 days annual leave and education grants. Contract: 6-month temporary appointment.
