Description
MARS V is a part-time, hybrid research programme where teams of 2–4 collaborate with experienced mentors to produce published research in AI safety, with a kick-off week in Cambridge and remote work thereafter.
  • Open to students and professionals with technical or governance backgrounds; especially suitable for those transitioning into AI safety.
  • Participants receive travel funding, accommodation, office space, meals during the in-person week, a $2k+ compute budget, and access to Claude Max for technical streams.
  • Teams are supported by a dedicated research manager and work directly with mentors from leading institutions like Redwood Research, MIRI, Stanford, and UK AISI.
  • The programme is free to join and is compatible with ongoing studies or employment.
