CivAI is hiring a Member of Technical Staff to research, build, and refine live AI demonstrations that educate policymakers and the public about AI risks.
- Role - Build end-to-end software demos showcasing AI capabilities, from deepfakes and phishing simulations to biosecurity and surveillance scenarios, with a focus on creative, lightweight projects that communicate clearly to non-technical audiences
- Compensation - Salary range of $125,000–$200,000, with potential additional compensation for senior candidates; catered lunch and dinner on weekdays at the Berkeley office
- Location - Full-time, on-site in Berkeley, CA; remote may be considered for exceptional candidates; visa sponsorship available in select cases
