Fellows can work remotely from anywhere in the US. We will also consider fellows based outside the US as long as they are able to
work overlapping hours with US East Coast time.
Description
The LASST Summer Fellowship is a 10-week paid, fully remote program for law students and legal professionals to work on legal advocacy at the intersection of technology, law, and global catastrophic risk prevention.
- Conduct applied research on legal and regulatory issues in biotechnology and AI governance, directly supporting LASST’s initiatives.
- Participate in strategy meetings and help shape advocacy and litigation approaches.
- Attend external briefings, conferences, and an in-person co-working session in New York City.
- Produce a major deliverable, such as a white paper or legal research memo, for external or internal use.
The fellowship is open to incoming 2Ls, recent law graduates, and practicing attorneys; applicants can work from anywhere with overlapping US East Coast hours, including internationally. Unfortunately, LASST cannot sponsor visas for fellows.
