EA Virtual Programs are opportunities to engage intensively with the ideas of effective altruism through weekly readings and small group discussions over the course of eight weeks. These programs are open to anyone regardless of timezone, career stage, or anything else.

Introductory Fellowship

The Introductory Fellowship introduces people to the ideas and applications of effective altruism through weekly small group discussions with a mentor and thoughtfully selected learning materials.
The Precipice Reading Group
24 January – 3 March 2021
This reading group will read and engage in structured discussion of Toby Ord's book 'The Precipice', which explores existential risks and safeguarding the future of humanity.
In-Depth Fellowship
24 January – 21 March 2021
An In-Depth remote discussion group where attendees look into their key uncertainties about how to best improve the world. Ideal for graduates of the introductory fellowship or similar experience.
Introductory Fellowship
21 January – 13 March 2021
The Introductory Fellowship introduces students to the ideas and applications of EA and consists of weekly meetings with a mentor to discuss syllabus content, career mentorship, speaker events, and more.
