The CHAI Research Fellowship offers postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to conduct independent and collaborative research advancing beneficial AI at UC Berkeley’s Center for Human-Compatible AI.

Fellows work with leading faculty (Stuart Russell, Pieter Abbeel, Anca Dragan) and collaborate across Berkeley AI Research and other institutions.
Research topics include agent architecture, probabilistic programming, lifelong learning, human-robot interaction, multi-agent systems, and more.
Fellows may lead collaborations, advise junior researchers, and teach courses relevant to their research interests.
