Description
SPAR is a part-time, remote research fellowship that pairs aspiring AI safety and policy researchers with experienced mentors to collaborate on impactful, 3-month research projects.
  • Flexible commitment: mentees can contribute 5–20 hours per week, working remotely from anywhere.
  • Open to undergraduates, graduate students, and professionals with technical or policy backgrounds; no prior research experience required.
  • Participants gain hands-on research experience, expert mentorship, and the chance to present at a Demo Day attended by leading AI safety organizations.
  • Most projects result in published papers or preprints, and top projects are eligible for prizes.
