Description
The Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University is accepting applications for its 2026 and 2026-2027 fellowship programs, inviting scholars and practitioners to lead independent research aligned with the Center’s interdisciplinary AI research agenda.
  • Fellows will conduct research on topics such as agentic AI, language model interpretability, benchmarking AI systems, AI & the human experience, and bridging diverse perspectives in AI.
  • Appointments are available for January–August 2026 or the full 2026–2027 academic year, with a strong preference for in-residence participation in Cambridge, MA (non-resident options considered case-by-case).
  • Fellows are expected to produce a significant public output (e.g., research papers, open-source tools, policy briefs) and actively engage with the BKC and Harvard communities.
  • Stipends of up to $75,000/year are available for eligible fellows; external funding is also accepted. International applicants are welcome, and visa sponsorship is available through the Harvard International Office.
